Doors Open, Conversations Begin.

Yesterday, our member company EPZ Industrietechnik GmbH hosted a Business Dialogue, bringing together representatives from politics and business.

Our special guest was Thuringia’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Colette Boos-John. Joining her on the panel were Andreas Bühl, Member of the Thuringian State Parliament (MdL), our Advisory Board Member Dr.-Ing. René W. Scharn, MBA, and Franz-Josef Willems, Chairman of the IEK Board.

The panel discussion was organised with the support of the ERFURTER KREUZ e. V. initiative.

One particularly impressive aspect went beyond the official programme: EPZ, a company that has traditionally maintained a relatively low public profile, opened its doors and created a space for dialogue and exchange between businesses. By welcoming the Minister and inviting other companies into its facilities, EPZ turned the visit into an opportunity for open conversations and meaningful connections. A total of 55 entrepreneurs attended the event.

This takes effort. And it requires a mindset that values sharing contacts and expertise rather than keeping them to oneself. For many SMEs, increasing their visibility can be more challenging than implementing a new ERP system.

This is exactly what the ERFURTER KREUZ e. V. initiative stands for: networking is about much more than exchanging business cards. It is about building relationships, sharing knowledge and creating opportunities together.

The initiative would like to thank the EPZ team for the invitation and for an engaging, insightful and valuable exchange.

Who will open their doors next?
