What you can expect:
With us, you will experience real technology live! In our training workshop you will learn everything you need to perform work on machines, modules and production systems – from drilling, turning and milling all the way to complex maintenance work or control cabinet construction. Even during training, you will become part of our team and assist with a wide variety of tasks – in some cases directly with customers.
How our training programs work:
Depending on the profession, training at AWM lasts 2 to 3.5 years. You work in small groups in our training workshop and implement your knowledge directly in exciting projects. Practical experience is supplemented by classes at the vocational school and in collaboration with inter-company education partners. In the first year you will learn the basics: Materials, their processing and skills such as filing, drilling, turning, milling, grinding and joining as well as manufacturing of simple modules. Starting in the second year, you will pass through all the manufacturing divisions, apply your knowledge in a practical setting and deepen your skills in planning and production of complex tools and special machines. In the third year, you will specialise in your dream profession.
Your profile:
- Secondary school certificate (or even a 9th grade certificate)
- Good marks in maths and physics
- Enjoyment of technology, machines and teamwork
- Motivation to learn new things and really get the job done
